Women in Concrete Alliance (WICA) is a place for all
Providing women in the industry a network to learn from the experience of others, enter into mentoring relationships and gain the tools they need to establish themselves in the industry.
CONNECTING WOMEN IN THE CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY
The Women in Concrete Alliance (WICA) seeks to connect women in the concrete construction industry.
WICA was founded in 2010 to supply information and opportunities to women working in the concrete construction industry. Led by a steering committee of accomplished women in the industry, the group's goal is to provide opportunity for networking and growth, as well as inspiration for woman choosing the concrete industry as a career path.
WICA serves as a professional network for women in the industry, allowing them to learn from the experience of others, enter into mentoring relationships, and gain the tools they need to establish themselves in the industry. The group also hosts a number of events – webinars, social hours, etc. – to further connect women in the industry and provide spaces for networking and fellowship.
Today, it is more important than ever to make the industry more welcoming to individuals of all identities and backgrounds. Creating a space for women to connect and relate about their experiences in the industry is a central motivation of this group.
